The Praying Church Movement is a network of Church of God Prayer leaders who affirm the seven commitments of a praying church and are moving toward these goals. They are:

• Enjoys praying – it is not merely a chore. Intercession is not seen as only painful and mournful, warfare and demonic attacks, a dark world in which the intercessor lives.
• The healthy intercessor has learned discipline, a part of which demands that the heart of prayer, the first movement in prayer, not be to the station of intercessor, but to the sweetness of the relationship with the one we represent on the wall.

• Is a servant to the pastor
• Has a submissive, meek spirit – but they are not a broken reed.

• WantsGod to get the glory and is protective of what belongs to God (watchful, guarding).

• Is “other minded” – empathy is a major component of their DNA, along with compassion, and sensitivity.
• Surrenders to the will of God.
• Is motivated by love and is full of grace (forgiving), and supportive.
• Is teachable.
• Wants unity.
• Is encouraging to others – has the ability to share truth in a loving way. God is to edify.
• Is discerning. Hears the voice of the Holy Spirit.

• Today thousands of people will start praying for our region using the Seek God for the City 2012 Prayer Guide – we are joyfully anticipating the awesome things God will do in Metro Detroit because our hearts are united in earnest, strategic, Scriptural prayer (Children can be involved as well, please visit www.waymakers.org/childrens-guide.html)
• The new EACH 2WordStory book is now ready for printing – it includes over twenty 2WordStory testimonies

• Prayer: That the EACH Prayer Task Force will have the Lord’s wisdom and favor as they finalize plans for the multi-location simulcast Prayer Rally on March 29th and the Comerica Park Prayer Walk on April 28th. For the Lord’s special blessings upon everyone using the Seek God for the City 2012 Prayer Guide, and for our prayers to be answered in amazing ways.
• Pastors: That pastors of participating churches will inspire their congregations to pray earnestly for unceasing revival of the church of Metro Detroit and to participate in EACH outreaches
• Good Deeds: For the EACH Steering Committee to have God’s wisdom, discernment, and favor as they finalize plans for the 40-days of good deeds
• 2WordStory: The 2WordStory.com website has 19 video-taped stories, and the online store for 2WordStory T-shirts and gear is now open. Pray that the Lord will use all 2WordStory buttons, apparel, and personal stories to touch unsaved people throughout our region.

   order quantity of 25.  Each guide will cost $1.00 to the churches (checks

   made payable to “EACH”).  Guides can be picked up after February 8 at

   The night of the Prayer Rally at Ward Church (February 9)

Prayer Requests:

• There are many Task Force meetings in the next 2 weeks – pray for all involved as they seek the Lord for wisdom and guidance in their areas of responsibility
• For the EACH Unification Meeting on Thursday, January 26th from 5:30-8:30 p.m. at Detroit Rescue Mission Ministries, 3606 E. Forest Ave in Detroit: Pray for anointing for the guest speaker Kevin Palau, for safe driving weather, and that it will be well-attended by pastors and ministry leaders. 
• For the region to be in prayer for the ongoing EACH movement; the first Prayer Rally will be held at Ward Church in Northville on February 9th
• For an outpouring of attendees and prayer at the Dearborn Prayer Event, Saturday, January 28th at 6:00 p.m., Dearborn Free Methodist Church, 2801 S. Telegraph Road.
